Repeat Prescriptions



Patients who are on regular medication may be able to request repeat prescriptions without seeing the doctor. You can request repeat prescriptions online, by post, by fax or in person. We no longer accept requests for repeat prescriptions over the telephone. All of the pharmacies in Buxton and Fairfield offer a prescription collection service and we can arrange this for you. Please speak to one of the receptionists about this service. Otherwise, prescriptions can be collected from the surgery or sent to you by post if you provide a stamped addressed envelope. Repeat prescriptions take 2 working days to produce, (3 days if they go to a chemist). To request a repeat prescription online, log on to your service provider by clicking on PatientAccess logon or Evergreen Life logon, as appropriate or click on Requesting a prescription online for further information.

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
