Useful Mental Health Websites For Young People

Having, or being, a young person with mental health difficulties can be particularly challenging.  There are several organisations that specialise in offering mental health support to young people and their families:  

Kooth

Text-message based support for young people aged 11 - 25.  Available between 12-10pm on weekdays and 6-10pm at weekends.

Derbyshire Emotional Health and Wellbeing A regularly updated list of local and national resources to support young people in Derbyshire and their parents and carers. 
Young Minds Mental health charity for children and young people and their families.
Minded for Families Information for parents and carers concerned about their child's mental health. 
Childline Free, confidential support for anyone under 19 either online or by telephone.  0800 1111 
Camhs Derbyshire Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service requires a referral from your GP, Social Worker (if you have one), or your child's school.

Self Referral For Councelling

You can self-refer for counselling without having to see the GP.  Waiting times can vary, so it is worth investigating the options available before selecting which provider to choose:

Serious Mental Illness Reviews

If you have been diagnosed with a Serious Mental Illness we will invite you for an annual review each year around your birthday.  If your mental health deteriorates please do not wait for that invitation to get in touch and book an appointment.
